How starts and trends are measured

Starts are adjusted counts from CLI telemetry, rounded to 5. Only installs seen at least 24 hours before a project starts qualify. Each period counts at most three projects per install and is capped at three times the distinct networks. Counts below five are hidden, not zero.

Trending means use has risen against that stack’s or fragment’s own recent baseline: at least 10 starts in the last 7 days and a score of 1.5 or more. The score is (last 7 days + 5) / (prior 28 days ÷ 4 + 5). It measures growth in use, not quality.
